Little Dude has been cruising pretty well for a few months now, and during the last few days he's started letting go of things and walking for a step or two. Tonight he was in the bedroom walking next to the dresser. I was close by, and he looked at me and started to crouch down to crawl over. Then he straightened up and toddled over to me with a big grin on his face! He hasn't repeated the performance, but I have a feeling it will happen more often from now on. If I can catch in on video, I will post it.
Oh, and his newest sign acquisition is the sign for milk. He will sign "milk" and point to the kitchen, especially when he knows it's nap time or bedtime, since that's when he usually has a bottle. I've been trying to transition him to cups for milk (he likes juice in a cup), but he's less than impressed. This afternoon I was trying to feed him milk in a cup; he would take a sip, pull away, and look angrily at me while signing milk and pointing to the kitchen. I think "milk" really means bottle.
