Booga Birthday

Reasons S-Boogie's fourth birthday was the most horrible, traumatic day ever:
  • We did not ride the new bike today. (We opened and rode it yesterday.)
  • We did not have a party today. (We had one yesterday.)
  • Three of our friends did not come to the party yesterday. (About ten did, plus their parents.)
  • We were not allowed to open all our presents at the party. (Eventually Mommy and Daddy relented on this one.)
  • There were no presents left to open today. (See relenting above.)
On the bright side:

New bike with Dora helmet and elbow and knee pads

New clothes from Grandma and Grandpa

Dora towel from Aunties Lika and M and Cousins Balinga and K

Riding the new bike

Yummy cupcakes Mommy made for the party

Sword and shield from Auntie Melyngoch (presumably obtained at the Renaissance festival; hand-deliverd by Uncle Tolkien Boy)

Blowing out candles for the second night in a row

Eating a cupcake cleverly baked in an ice cream cone

You presumed right; they're from the festival. I helped pick! I'm glad she likes them, or at least looks like she likes them.

Her cupcakes were so cute! She looks like such a big girl on that bike. Also, I read the post about LD and I was kindof trying not to freak out about the same thing but he really had a huge explosion with his language the day he turned 19 months. He will try to say almost anything we say and can finally do multiple sounds in a row and things. It's so exciting but it feels like it took forever to happen. So keep waiting! It will come!

Great gifts. I am loving the sword and shield! I forgot they had the same birthday too. We think about you guys often and were so glad to hear from you! My brother just got called to the Spain, Madrid mission, so their have been many mission memories relived.
I can't believe we keep missing eachother (ie honolulu, seattle) Someday we should meet up again. :)
