Last week S-Boogie got off the school bus and told me "Jeff [the driver] told us that we need to wear hats tomorrow." I couldn't figure out why he would want the kids to wear hats, although it has been cold lately. Then S-Boogie mentioned the fact that he was driving quickly and it suddenly made sense. I asked her, "Did he say to hold on to your hat?" "Yes", she replied, "But I wasn't wearing one". She wore her hat to school the next day.
We were getting in the car and Mr. Fob asked me to put something in the glove compartment. Suddenly S-Boogie piped up--"Put these in there too, Mom". It was a pair of little pink gloves. (I think they're still in there).

I'm laughing at this one, too!
S-Boogie, you are funny!
Oh, that's so cute! Funny to reflect on how many things we say every day that are just sayings not meant to be taken literally. It must be a bit confusing to encounter them for the first time.
