Belated Fourth of July

Despite the fact that we were in the middle of packing for our move, we still managed to have a fun Fourth of July. In the morning we went up to a neighborhood parade that a friend had told me about. It turned out to be very small: one fire truck and a bunch of people walking behind it. They let kids ride on the fire truck, so S-Boogie hopped up there and rode along for the three blocks or so of the parade. After that we went to a pancake breakfast and then later in the afternoon we had a barbeque with friends. Here are some pictures of the kids in their patriotic finery (thanks Grandma!):
