I was doing a good job writing an update about Little Dude every month, but during our move this summer I lost my momentum. Little Dude is now 28 months old and definitely not a baby anymore. During the last few months his verbal skills have taken off and he loves to talk. He even comes up with sentences, like last month when we were talking about calling my sister for her birthday: "Auntie Skye give cow book me!" One of his favorite things to say is "funny boy", because that's what we say to him all the time. This summer I was trying to get him to sleep and I told him to shut his mouth and stop talking. He looked up at me and said "nose talking"! He likes to say stuff like "I a fire truck" and then run around making siren noises. Talking has given Little Dude the opportunity to interact more with his sister, which is sometimes very sweet. Sometimes it's not, though, and we're learning even more about sibling rivalry. One of their "favorite" activities is to have arguments that usually involve things like one of them making a noise and the other shrieking "stop it" over and over. Nice.
Another thing Little Dude says is "I do it". He loves to help with everything, including throwing trash away and unloading the dishwasher. He often gets me my water bottle from the fridge (even when I don't need it) and loves to "help" me cook. Little Dude doesn't want to miss out on the action. One of his new favorite obsessions is Dora the Explorer and he likes to watch an episode or two every day. We bought him a new toothbrush the other day, and of course he picked out the Dora one and didn't let go of it until we got home from the store.
Most of the time Little Dude is actually a pleasant, happy little guy. We've had a rough few months with regards to his sleep schedule, because during the summer he started climbing out of his travel bed. When we moved into our new home we put him the fire truck toddler bed we have, but he resisted the change. Right now he falls asleep on the floor and then we move him to the bed later, because he tells us his new bed is "scary". He's also started skipping naps sometimes, but we still leave him in his room for quiet time. Little Dude also doesn't eat very much and refuses all vegetables, but he's generally happy and healthy. I'm excited to see what happens as he gets even bigger during the next few months.

He is looking so old!! What a cute smile.
He looks so sweet. TinyDes is also going through the "I do it!" phase, but she usually follows it up with the "Help me!" *Sigh*
