S-Boogie likes to write notes to the tooth fairy and leave them under her pillow with her teeth. A few weeks ago she had to have two of her top teeth extracted at the dentist in order to make room for the permanent teeth that need space to grow in. Hopefully by the time all her permanent teeth grow in her jaw will have become big enough to hold them. Here is the note she wrote to the tooth fairy this time:
Dear TF:
I have took owt my teeth at the tetthst! Becase my teeth cant come owt! I love you! Love, [S-Boogie]
Little Dude has also been working on spelling and sounding out words lately too. Tonight at the library he surprised us by picking up a book and reading the title: "Farmer Duck". He'd never seen the book before. A few weeks ago he was in the bathtub playing with the foam letters. When I came in he said, "I'm spelling movie theater!" He had put up the following letters: MOVEI FDR. Tonight when I quizzed him about what words he knew, he spelled car, cat, and dog all correctly for me.
