So Big!

This is a picture from today of P. Bibby walking. She's been taking some steps for a while, but has usually reacted with distress when we've tried to get her to do much walking. I could tell today that a light went on in her mind and she realized that she can walk and that it is fun to do. During the next few days she'll probably get even better at it and maybe we'll even get a video of her. I never got around to saying anything about her at thirteen months and now she is turning fourteen months. Every day she gets bigger and cuter, and she keeps surprising us with all the things she understands. She knocks on doors, she grabs socks and tries to put them on her own feet, she asks for her coat when she knows we're going somewhere and then crawls to the garage when it is on, she has started to fold her arms for the prayer at mealtime--the list grows every day. She loves her siblings and gets really excited whenever they walk in the room or when she hears them coming up the stairs from the basement.
She still has a very sweet personality and is generally mellow. Sometimes she'll get grouchy and has developed a rather piercing shriek, which her siblings mostly encourage my shrieking back. They have also taught her how to growl like a monster and it is really fun to have growling 'conversations' with her. P.Bibby is also a little entertainer and knows what kinds of things we will laugh it. She has developed a 'falling down' trick, where she will 'fall' and then roll onto her back for you to tickle her tummy. It's really funny. My only concern right now is that she isn't really saying many words at all. She will say 'bah' when she sees the bathtub (because she loves baths) and she babbles, but she isn't really consistently saying anything else. She obviously understands a lot so hopefully she's just a little slower on the talking like Little Dude was.

Oh my! So fun. She is just such a doll. And what could be more fun than your very Chaos Machines (a big brother and a big sister...)to liven up the day? Of course she loves them.
