S-Boogie and Pop Culture

The other day at the mall S-Boogie suddenly said: "Look, I see Bob. His last name is Cheeseman because he looks like a cheese. He's Bob Cheeseman." (Can you tell we don't have cable?)

Then, as we were driving by some familiar golden arches, she cried out excitedly:
"Ooh, it's Old McDonald's restaurant!"

The other day she pondered the meaning of Christmas:
"Soon it will be Christmas. Then we will need to go to the North Pole to see Santa Claus. Except maybe Santa Claus isn't in this world. Maybe the North Pole isn't in this world. I think Heavenly Father and Jesus need to make the North Pole and Santa Claus."

My kids also call it Old McDonald's (and we do have cable.)

Thanks for inserting the pic of Bob Cheeseman. I have cable, but I guess I don't watch it enough. I had no idea that he'd changed his name.

I kinda like his new name better ;)

You know, all of S-Boogie's Swiss, cow-milking, cheese-making ancestors (and there are quite a group of them...) are just SO PROUD of her cheese associations. Really!

That is hilarious. I can relate as we have been tv-less Grace's entire existence. I am still surprised at the things she picks up though. Maybe it is preschool. Congrats on graduation. We loved the surfing picks and we are so incredibly nostalgic for Hawaii right now. How is Seattle?
