Tulip Festival

Yesterday we went up north to the "tulip festival" where you can see farms full of blooming flowers. We also stopped by a farm with a petting area and cute baby animals for the kids to see. They were more interested in the mud than the flowers, but they did like the baby animals a lot.

Well, you can do a lot more with mud than flowers, so I can see why it would be more fascinating. What an adorable Jersey calf, it looks just born. And what an adorable little boy petting her!!

The calf was only about 2-3 weeks old and he was very sweet--still had some umbilical cord hanging down! Little Dude thought the calves and little chicks were the coolest things ever. We also saw entire field covered in snow geese--it was awesome. Maybe when you're here we'll have to take a day or afternoon and drive up north--the Skagit valley has some beautiful farms.
