Fun in the Sun
S-Boogie had "mid-winter break" last week from preschool, so we tried to fill each day with something fun. Thankfully we've had some beautiful, "warm", sunny weather and we've done a lot of cool things. On Monday we went to the zoo; I'm glad we got there early since everyone else had the same idea. Later in the week we spent Friday morning at a cool park with a great view of Puget Sound and the Olympic Mountains. Then yesterday morning we went to an open house at the local fire station and got to see the fire trucks and meet the firemen. I apologize for the quality of the pictures--some day I'll learn to take better photos, but at least I tried.
Little Dude's favorite part of the kids' area at the zoo. There is a little snake who lives in an aquarium inside the log and he loves to peek through the hole and watch him.
Feeding the parakeets at the zoo. They kept hiding high up in the tree, but we finally got some to eat our seeds.
S-Boogie admiring the view at the park (that's Puget Sound, and the Olympic Mountains are in the background).
Sitting in a fire truck; S-Boogie wore her firefighter hat for the occasion.

Fun times!! Lil' Dude has turned into a little kid. He's not a baby anymore, huh? Wow...can't wait till you visit us. Firetruck!! Snakes!! Birds!! And that is a magnificant view. I'd love to stand there and gaze at it too.
On Sunday when I was flying back from Houston, our plane had three stop-overs: one in Albuquerque, one in SLC, then on to Seattle. While I was so excited to see my husband and kids, I do admit to being sorely tempted to stay on the plane and trip on up to Seattle, what with all the fun things to do and wanting to meet you and your family.
