Our Little Girl is Six!

Can anyone tell me how S-Boogie got to be this old? I still remember her being like this instead. She did have a fun birthday, as you can see by her face, even though we didn't do much on the actual day. We started it by heading down to enroll her in school; she'll be heading to first grade in two weeks. Weird for me to think about her being gone all day in a real class learning all kinds of things. We are looking forward to it though and I think it will be a good adventure for her. After stopping by her new school we headed over to the library where they checked off her summer reading and she got lots more books for me to read. We made sure to hit the non-fiction section for books about dinosaurs and space, two of her latest obsessions. After that we got lunch at a restaurant with some summer reading coupons and then came home for an afternoon of TV and playing. Monday night we had a big party with her "big" family as she calls it, and last night we had some more cupcakes and ice cream with her "little" family. Mr. Fob and I got her some more presents, plus she opened her art supplies from Grandma and Grandpa. It was another fun birthday and I can't believe how much she has grown over the years. She still has a lot of passion and enthusiasm for life; sometimes this can be difficult for all of us, but most of the time her energy and drive are an asset. Her Grandpa nicknamed her "The Minnow" for her fearless (and tireless) swimming abilities and I think that sums her up perfectly: small, fast, and determinedly energetic.
