Yesterday Daddy made pink orange juice (and pink pancakes that looked like hearts) for breakfast. Little Dude said that Daddy put "Valentines" in the juice and that it tasted like "pink"!
Tonight the kids were brushing their teeth when S-Boogie told us that the toothpaste was "sucky". She meant that it was good for sucking off your toothbrush. Then she and Little Dude had an argument about whether or not the toothpaste was "sucky" while we tried really hard not to laugh. I didn't want to laugh too much because then I would have to explain what "sucky" really means.
And tonight Little Dude was really acting wild when I was trying to get his pajamas on. I realized that he was trying to bite my arm, so when I said "hey, don't bite me!", he replied "I wasn't biting. I was just putting a little mouth on you."
Finally, if anyone has some good suggestions for easy snacks or meals for the kids that don't involve cheese, I would love to hear them. Especially if they are meatless. As I mentioned, the kids love cheesy crackers for a snack. But our default lunches for them tend to be grilled cheese sandwiches and quesadillas, so I need to find better ideas for snacks or meals. I'm a little nervous about raw vegetables and nuts for Little Dude still, and if I give stuff to S-Boogie he wants to eat it too. So I need ways to get them to eat more fruits and other protein foods besides cheese.

That must be some tooth paste, LOL!
My kids are all about the cheese too. We go through string cheese like crazy. But we also go through grapes and apples quickly too.
Though this is still in the dairy group- yogurt is always a good snack. Baby T LOVES yogurt.
Wow, now that I think of it... we are in a rut too!
An interesting thing about little children; it isn't a rut. They just like what they like. We adults prefer variety. They like sameness. You know: like reading Ping the Duck over and over and over and over. Or eating cheese for every meal. But yogurt and cottage cheese would be something else to try. And there's always beans. (I LOVE "putting a little mouth on you")
What about fruit cups? Our kids like those. A lot. Our kids are also fond of fruit leather. You can get a box of it at Costco.
peanut butter!!! hard boiled eggs are a good source of meatless protein, too. Peanut butter is great on crackers or scooped up with celery or apples. You can put refried beans in the quesadilla. Or eat refried beans melted together with cheese with chips for a yummy snack. I'm hungry now, it is time to go put a little mouth on some food.
Be careful, I think that hard boiled eggs are a choking food. Almost every day I make a drink in the blender of bananas (stawberries if I have them), yogurt and a little bit of juice. Keanu loves it and it is healthy.
I just left a comment on Mr. Fob's blog saying how much I had laughed after reading a few of his posts. But reading these last few blogs has taken the cake. I laughed so hard. Your family is just too funny! (In a good way, of course!) Either that, or you just have a funny way of describing events! Gee - have you ever thought of being a writer?
