Latest obsessions

Puzzles: Both the kids really love puzzles, especially Little Dude. This is a picture of him with a 24 piece puzzle that he completed almost all by himself last month. Grandma brought them a giant floor puzzle of the United States when she came for Thanksgiving and it has been a big hit with both of them. They are starting to learn where many of the states go and who lives in each one. Little Dude can even identify his home state and always tells us "I go in California!".

This is a picture of Little Dude with his clothes laid out on the floor. The kids both love to do this lately, and it can either be fun or really annoying (depending on whether or not we are in a hurry to go somewhere). They either call it "making people" or "spiders". I don't know why Little Dude calls them spiders, but he also likes to pretend to push a button and turn them into "skeletons". I don't know where he came up with that one from.

This is S-Boogie with the kids' new baby sister. They have named her and constantly talk about her. They always make sure she is well taken care of and gets the food and rest that she needs. S-Boogie has even started drawing pictures of our family that include her "little sister" in them.

Both kids are also obsessed with making their own cracker snacks. They put cheese on crackers and then melt them in the microwave. Little Dude has even figured out the correct buttons to push, although I make sure I'm always in the room with him to make sure he doesn't get out the non-kid knife or nuke his crackers for more than ten seconds. S-Boogie likes creating other snacks as well and likes to do things like spreading peanut butter on graham crackers and then adding Cheerios.

Well, hey--great! They can feed themselves, and take care of the "Baby"--they're really growing up! I love the spider/skeletons thing.
